Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Bliss Timer LLC ("Bliss", "we", "us") about your use of the Bliss meditation app for iOS and Android and the website blisstimer.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these terms.
Who can use Bliss
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you, and only an adult may buy a subscription.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time as described in the Privacy Policy.
Bliss Pro subscriptions
Parts of the Service, including programs, guided meditations and the yoga library, require a Bliss Pro subscription.
- Subscriptions are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. The price and billing period are shown before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
- If a free trial is offered, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We cannot issue refunds for purchases made through them.
- We may change subscription prices. A change applies from your next renewal, and the store will notify you before it takes effect.
Bliss AI
Bliss AI answers questions from the published works of Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar using artificial intelligence. Before your first question the app asks you to accept the following, which also forms part of these terms:
- Answers are generated by AI and can contain mistakes or omissions. The quoted passages show the original text; the generated answer is not reviewed for your situation.
- Answers are not medical, legal, financial or professional advice. Some texts describe traditional remedies; consult a qualified professional before acting on any health-related content.
- You use Bliss AI at your own discretion, and Bliss is not liable for actions taken based on the answers or the quoted texts.
- Free accounts get a limited number of questions per day, and Pro accounts have a higher daily limit. We may change these limits.
- Do not use Bliss AI to try to extract the underlying texts in bulk, to probe or attack the service, or for anything unlawful.
Health and safety
Bliss offers meditation, breathing, yoga postures and related content for general wellbeing. It is not medical care and does not replace advice from a doctor or therapist. Yoga and breathing exercises carry a risk of injury. Check with a physician before starting if you are pregnant, have an injury or a medical condition, or are unsure whether an exercise is right for you, and stop if something hurts. You practise at your own risk.
Content and ownership
The videos, audio, programs, texts, artwork and software in the Service belong to Bliss Timer LLC or to the people and organisations that license them to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own, non-commercial practice. You may not copy, record, redistribute, sell, modify or publicly perform any content, remove any notices from it, or reverse-engineer or interfere with the app or our servers.
If you give us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service in a way that is unlawful, that harms or harasses others, that attempts to gain unauthorised access to accounts or systems, or that burdens or disrupts the Service, for example by automating requests. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Third-party services
The Service works with services from Apple, Google, Meta, Amazon Web Services, Amplitude and RevenueCat, and may link to other websites. Those services and sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Changes to the Service
We add, change and sometimes remove content and features. We may also discontinue the Service. If we discontinue a paid feature while you have an active subscription, you can cancel and ask Apple or Google about a refund for the unused period.
Ending your account
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive, such as ownership, disclaimers and limitation of liability, continue to apply after your account ends.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, or that any content, including Bliss AI answers, is accurate or complete.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bliss Timer LLC and its owners, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, so some may not apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless Bliss Timer LLC from claims and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Bliss Timer LLC is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first at [email protected] and we will try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way will be brought in the state or federal courts located in that state, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section takes away rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the place where you live.
Apple and Google
These terms are between you and Bliss Timer LLC, not Apple or Google. They are not responsible for the Service or its content, for maintenance or support, or for any claim relating to it, and they are third-party beneficiaries of these terms with the right to enforce them against you.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will post the new version here with a new effective date, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
